Approximately 30 masks from the Seacoast African American Cultural Center's Werner Collection will be exhibited at the Library, most of which have never been displayed. Dr. Casey Golomski, cutlural antrhopologist at the University of New Hampshire will speak about this collection of rare and powerful African masks including how these masks were made and their ritual and religious symbolism. This talk invites listeners to unite art, history and community in honor of Black History Month. Light refreshments will be served.
